This notice explains how TruDry Restoration, a DBA of Diehl Construction (“TruDry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, retains, and discloses personal information about California job applicants and candidates.
1. Scope
This notice applies to personal information collected when you apply for work with TruDry, communicate with us about a position, participate in an interview, or otherwise take part in our recruiting process. It does not describe information collected after you become an employee, which may be covered by a separate workforce privacy notice.
2. Categories of personal information we may collect
At a later and legally permitted stage, TruDry may collect additional job-related information under a separate notice or authorization, such as work-eligibility documentation, motor-vehicle information for driving positions, consumer-report information, or post-offer medical information where lawful and required.
3. Sources of personal information
We may collect applicant information directly from you; from references, prior employers, schools, training providers, or credentialing organizations you authorize us to contact; from recruiting or job-posting platforms; and from service providers that support our website, communications, security, or applicant-management process.
4. Purposes for collecting and using applicant information
- Receive, review, and process applications.
- Assess job-related qualifications, experience, skills, availability, and fit for a position.
- Communicate about interviews, hiring steps, accommodations, and application status.
- Verify job-related information you authorize us to verify.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud or misuse, troubleshoot systems, and protect our legal rights.
- Comply with recordkeeping, equal-employment, fair-chance, reporting, and other legal obligations.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Disclosure of applicant information
We may disclose applicant information to TruDry personnel and agents with a business need to know; website, hosting, storage, communications, recruiting, security, and applicant-management service providers; references and verification sources you authorize us to contact; professional advisers; government agencies or law enforcement where required or permitted; and parties involved in a business transaction, legal claim, or investigation.
Any background report or other consumer report will be handled under separate legally required disclosures and authorizations.
6. Sale, sharing, and sensitive personal information
TruDry does not sell applicant personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use and disclose any sensitive personal information only for recruiting, hiring, security, legal compliance, or other purposes permitted by law.
7. Retention
We generally retain applications and related recruiting records for a minimum of four years, using the applicable triggering date for the record category. We may retain information longer when reasonably necessary for an ongoing application, employment relationship, legal requirement, investigation, audit, dispute, or defense of legal claims. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably necessary, subject to legal obligations.
8. California privacy rights
To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to TruDry and your information, you may have rights to request access to categories or specific pieces of personal information, request deletion or correction, receive information about disclosures, opt out of a sale or sharing if one occurs, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive nondiscriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. Some information may be exempt from a request or retained as required by law.
To make a privacy request, use the contact information below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of applicant information. No online system is completely secure, so applicants should avoid sending information the application does not request.
